Getting Started
How do I start my own tapware brand with DevSpec GTC?
We’ll chat—one call or a few—until we fully understand your vision (sketches, mood board, or reference ranges welcome). From there we align on scope, finishes, volumes, and certifications, then share a proposal with timeline and milestones.
Do you take on every project?
No. We limit concurrent projects to protect quality and delivery. If we’re at capacity, we’ll offer the next available start window.
What’s the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQs are flexible by range and finish. Pilot batches can be small; full runs scale from there. We’ll recommend the most cost-efficient breakpoints.
Engineering & Manufacturing
What materials do you use?
Lead-free brass bodies and 304/316 stainless-steel components, paired with premium European ceramic cartridges and SABS-calibrated aerators.
Which finishes are available?
Any finish you can dream of—plus the standards: Chrome, Matte Black, Brushed Gold, Brushed Bronze, Graphite, Gunmetal, and Rose. We recommend PVD for premium, high-touch durability; Chrome/Nickel are electroplated; Matte Black can be PVD or powder depending on application.
Do you test product performance?
Yes—salt-spray (typically 96–240 h+ depending on finish), hydrostatic pressure/leak checks, and handle life-cycle tests.
How do you ensure quality?
Inline QC gates at casting, machining, polishing, finishing, and assembly. Serialized batches enable full material and process traceability.
Compliance & Documentation
Are your products certified?
Manufactured in ISO-certified facilities. We supply SABS and/or WaterMark documentation per model set, including materials, pressure ratings, and installation guidance.
Can you provide technical data sheets (TDS) and installation manuals?
Yes—TDS, installation instructions, maintenance notes, and spare-parts maps are included with each range.
Design, Customization & IP
Can you match a specific aesthetic or handle geometry?
Absolutely. Custom bodies, spout geometries, handle knurls, and surface textures are available. We advise on manufacturability before tooling.
Can you support patented or proprietary features?
Where applicable. We can integrate your IP or propose DevSpec features. NDAs are standard before sharing drawings.
Can you do brand, packaging, and unboxing design?
Yes—logo application, laser marks, labels, cartons/inserts, and manuals can all be fully branded; this is complimentary for first-time clients.
Compatibility & Serviceability
Are cartridges and aerators replaceable with common brands?
Key wear parts are purpose-designed to be compatible with widely available replacement components, simplifying service over the product’s life.
Do you stock spares?
Yes—cartridges, aerators, seals, and finish-matched touch-up kits are supported for the lifetime of the range.
Sustainability
What are your environmental practices?
Closed-loop water systems, advanced waste filtration, reduced plastic packaging wherever possible, and energy-efficient finishing lines—minimizing environmental impact without compromising quality.
Lead Times & Logistics
How long does the process take?
Typical windows (scope-dependent): design refinement 1–3 weeks, tooling ~2 weeks, pilot build ~1 week, production 3–4 weeks, freight ~3 weeks. Your project plan is confirmed in the proposal.
Can you handle forwarding and clearing?
Yes—complete logistics support, including export documentation and customs clearance; we partner with factory-network shipping lines to secure efficient rates.
Warranty & Support
What warranty do you provide?
Factory-backed, industry-standard warranty on bodies/finish and cartridges (terms by market). Misuse, improper installation, or non-compliant water conditions are excluded.
How are defects handled?
We run root-cause analysis using batch serialization. Approved claims receive replacements or credit per the agreed warranty terms.
How will I track progress?
Milestone updates via our shared live document—design sign-off, tooling, pilot, finish QC, pre-shipment—plus photos/video from the line and batch documentation.
Who do I contact for technical support?
Your project manager is your single point of contact; engineering joins for drawings, tolerance reviews, and compliance questions.
